hello i find this coin on a site, it looks me very rare,maybe a Peter III? is it only a fake??

Looks like a fake to me

Sorry, but this a fake. The original of this is almost non existent.. The 1 kopek of 1762 peter III is extremely rare (see thread earlier this year on this forum, less than 10 known specimens)

You will find the 2 kopek, maybe 3 or 4 times a year on ebay (a guess) and the 4 kopek more frequently, but just as frequently these are faked. The 10 kopek, maybe 1 or 2 times a year on ebay. Also fakes out there. These all usually go to major auctions these days, but the dealers get them too, so check the usual Russian specialists.

See Alex Basok's site, rustypennies.com for a good selection of copper from this period, and be assured no fakes.

All Peter III copper is overstruck on older coins, so they are generally NOT high grade. In fact, the uglier, the better, in my opinion.

sure i think finding nice coins before 1800 is exceptional , but that s just my opinion, i boght on sunday a rouble catharina2 from 1774, i bought it in a professionnal seller auction,but not in high grade, that s less expesive and more secured for me.The are too fakes on internet

Well...most Peter III copper is overstruck. As I said in my article, mint reports show some 10Ks were struck on new flans and I see around 30% of known examples with no trace of undercoin.
