Hi,

I recently bought this coin. My questions on it are:

A ) is it genuine (looks like it to me but I'm not knowledgeable on Russian coins)

B ) What do you think the error is? It looks as if it may have been struck on a damaged planchet, with possible die cud/or damage.

It is genuine but it looks like it has been a button or some sort - you can see the concentric ring in the middle and some solder leftover. A real shame really. sad.gif

You could be right gx. I was so busy hoping it was an error, I overlooked the fact that it could have been soldered onto something. I guess I'll need to wait to take a closer look at it. If thats the case it is a shame as the Eagle side seems to have a nice detail on it.
