While it is impossible to authenticate a coin from an ebay photo, that Peter II rouble does NOT look like one of those China made fakes that are now constantly up on ebay. It is at best cleaned, but nothing that shouts fake. It would nice to see the edge.

What part looks fake to you? Please provide more than just 'this looks fake...what do you think?".
Thanks.

Just the details of the portrait don't look right on this coin and tonning looks artificial. I can be wrong, that was just my opinion. I liked some other coins this seller is selling, but wanted to get other people opinion about this one before putting my bid.

The coin is ok as far as you can tell just using foto, but Peter's hair artificially was deepen to make it more relief. Not sure if I said it clear, in Russian we call it "to trim hair".

Thank you! I think you are right, I looked a bit closer, it looks like hair and some face details were re-engraved on the coin. So it seems to be an original coin with re-engraved details and I still think the tonning is artificial.

It is a common thing today to make an artificial tonning (and many think it is ok do not say anything about

) because many coins go from the ground and have to be cleaned. While cleaning by most of people it loose orginal tonning.
