Well enough time off the streets to think about what he did.
I'm not sure I understand why the victim's family had an attorney representing them in the case, unless they mean the prosecutor. I hope that isn't what they're grateful for; some prosecutor who cut a deal to allow the killer to escape his ride on Ol' Sparky.
