Hi again all. Your helpfulness last time makes me hope for help a second time. For this rouble of 1726 I would be happy for Bitkin or Diakov number. Scarcity ?
Thanks in advance

Your coin appears to be unlisted in Bitkin and Diakov. bthumbsup.gif
"No crosses over eagle's crowns" is listed only for 1727.

"No crosses over eagle's crowns" is listed only for 1727.

GM-222 (pl XIX, 6) 1727.

no. 222 Rouble "...Les couronnes sur la tete de l'aigle n'ont pas de croix."

Tranche: Voir no.174 "Rouble Russe de l'Hotel des Monnaies de Moscou"

GM is silent on rarity, suggesting it is common. But what was considered "common" in the latter half of the 19th century might be scarce or even rare today.

Nice coin, Ola! bthumbsup.gif

Thanks for this help. I saw in my Grand Duke book the missing crosses on 1727 Rouble GM-222 , but not on 1726...
So Bitkin and Diakov did not listed this variety !?? Does it mean anything regarding grade of rarity to be labeled to it when selling at auction house ?

Hi Mummytrol
Are you never interested if your coins are scarce or not ?

I think it means just that. It should be labeled as "unlisted", and then what makes it unlisted should be mentioned.
The rest is up to the auction participants. If there is more than one collector out there desperately looking for this 1726 with no crosses, sit back and enjoy the show.

Hi! I think to find rare coin is not so easy. Auction will show you rarity and price of this coin. bhyper.gif
