I went to a street fair today. I was surprised that they even had one today being that its Easter. But, it was a blast.
I picked up some mexican silver. I do hope that its not fake though. I did a magnet test but don't know the weights of each coin.
I'll have to research it.

I noticed that the 1894 8 Reales have various chop marks, that's pretty cool.
Can you take a look and tell me if they are not counterfeit and approx. value please.
I paid $20 each and $15 for the 1943 and 1944 Peso.

Hello,
The Chinese used Mexican, American, British and Freanch Trade Dollars as the medium of exchange. When ever they were not sure about a coin either purity or weight they had their own specialist check it and if all was ok he would put his chop mark. Sort of like a hall mark saying that he says its ok. Some times you can find coins that have lots of chop marks and it has really messed up the coin but in general if only one or two its ok.
Here is an example i have in my collection so you can see it.
Cheers
