I typed in 1728 rouble into ebay and had no problem seeing several completed auctions with prices. No russian needed. Please check again and with 2 minutes work you'll probably be able to find what you're after. Several hundreds of dollars as a quick answer.

Might be time for a new book.

I did a search and found THIS AUCTION (link) sitting at $79 with no bids. The seller is in China and my guess is that the coin was probably made there sometime last week.

This link might prove helpful.

Yes indeed. Probably safer to go with completed auction prices because then a lot of this is filtered out (bidiots not withstanding).

Or, just use that very nice link you provided.

How do you find the completed auctions for 1728 roubles on ebay? I only seem to find current auctions.

I prefer coinarchives.com because coins there are from real auctions and from reputable dealers, so the chances of finding results for fake coins are, in my opinion, much lower than on ebay.

After you bring up the current auctions look on the right side of the screen next to SEARCH. You will see "Advanced search".
Click on Advanced Search. Another screen will appear. Select the option "Completed listings" then again click on Search. That should give you items sold in the last month. smile.gif
