Picked up these test notes issued by Thomas de la Rue. I thought that they were nice looking. If they were ever to completely revamp the design on US notes, I hope they would go along this route for the design... perhaps these would've made nice commemoratives - if the Fed Reserve ever went that route. The reverse of these test notes are the same as the front.

Thomas La Rue?

I love them but if they kept them more vintage-ish, a little less dark, I think they'd be awesome.

I cannot help thinking that these look more for the Canadian scene than the American for some reason.

The current issue of the IBNS Journal (47.1) contains an article on ATM test notes, if anyone is interested.

I just received a De La Rue Giori S.A. Test Note in the mail today. I ordered it because this post sparked my interest in test notes.

I also have a black & white version of the Beethoven test note, a proof obverse specimen of the Shakespeare test note, and a Gutenberg test note. I think I might be hooked on test notes now...

That's a very beautiful Beethoven note you have there. ... It's hard to pass them up sometimes. bthumbsup.gif
