hi im not a collector but curious about this coin ive found in my change,is it a pressing fault and is it quite common something like this gets past quality control.

Can't say I have ever seen a modern UK coin with mint errors to that degree.

Nice find. It is slightly off center and perhaps worth a couple of pounds on eBay.
Not very common but they do sometimes turn up in change. Collectors of errors usually look for more dramatic errors.
The more dramatic the off center the more they are usually worth.
