hey gang! I have really been on a german states kick here lately. I picked this guy up the other day... its a neat looking coin

That monument was completed in 1913 (see the date on the coin), just in time for the centennial. Interesting, by the way, that in the early 19c and in that battle, Saxony (the issuer of that piece) was Napoleon's ally, fighting against Prussia and its allies. But apparently 100 years later it was OK to erect that thing in Saxony. The monument is currently being restored (but stays open) ... now guess when that job is expected to be done? Yes, 2013.
