I found this coin (token?) on an auction site. It seems austrian for me but I don't really know anything about it!

Hard to tell where it's from. "Spiel-Münz(e)" is German indeed - means play (or gaming) token - so it might well be from Austria. But I don't know much about such tokens ...

"SPIELMÜNZ[E]" = gambling token (in German). Might have also been some kind of play money for playing a game (like Monopoly?).

well, I thought it was austrian because "1" seems similar with "1" from the 1800's austrian kreuzer..

90% it is from Austrian-Hungarian empire. I have tokens with numbers 1, 2 and if I remember correctly and maybe 4 from this serie. All are found in our city, Timisoara.
