Really the idea of "Danmark" ever joining the EU Currency is a veridical fantasy: same thing with Great Britain

Regarding the euro, the two countries are in pretty different camps.

The Danish krone is part of of the euro exchange rate mechanism (ERM-II), and even with a narrower fluctuation band than usual (only 2.25 percent). So practically Denmark has a currency that goes up and down along with the euro, while the UK does not have anything to do with the currency union. And the Danish government even plans a new euro referendum
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7107857.stm within the next few years. May well be that the outcome will be "pro-krone" again. But designing Danish euros is not as far fetched as designing British euros would be.
I basically like the "Margrethe euro" - well, Frizio cannot be blamed for how she wants to appear on coins.

(The portrait is similar to the current one.) The "Euro 10 Years" design - I like the first one (especially now that I know what the silhouette on the left is - the ECB building in Frankfurt); the other one I do not find that attractive. And the new design (Declaration of Human Rights) looks good too ...
