Hi when I first asked for help I sent the coins and this medal out because the dealer in my area could tell me nothing then I found this place on the web COIN PEOPLE and u were all far more help then the antique dealer or anyone else around here. I thought the medal was bronze but on having it returned I see its silver could it be a proof and what is its worth its condition is such that fine details not seen in the bronze version are seen in mine.

here is what Iam talking about is

Russia. Nicholas I, 1825-55. 1829 AE Medal, 38.6mm, by Gube and Loos. Treaty of Peace With Turkey. Diakov-487.1. Laureate head right/Russian and Turk with shields before Constantinople. How do you know if it is a proof? any help and info would be apreciated also I hope to eventally get a scan of my coins and the medal... Thanks again for the help
