Yesterday I received these two coins from a dealer and discovered this interesting sameness.

There isn't enough space here to post the reverse of these coins so will get another page done.

I guess you are talking about the die crack across the crown of his head. Neat but not the same dies. The 54p looks more worn than the 52d.

Yep, you are probably right about that.
When I saw the similarities I was in de javu land. Wasn't sure which was which till after the pictures were taken and I got the coins catalogued. Now they are resting in my best Washington album unless something more perfect comes along to replace them.

I think Lostdutchman has a lincoln series collection where he is trying to get each date and mint mark coin.... but off-center!
