Yes,after I bought the coin. Then I checked the other coins this guy had sold and found the exact coin and year had been sold by him 5 weeks previously.I sent an e-mail to him explaining my discovery and told him if he in any way suspected that the coin was bogus to cancel the sale.Just bought it today from CHINA!!! I am not prejudiced but a whole lot of fake items come out of China. The thought must be"Well if something is so popular lets make some" I will keep this post up to date Blow by blow!! MAC The heading should read 1729 PETER 2ND SILVER ROUBLE The latest-----I found another person on e-bay selling exactly the same coin !!!! Along with some other doubtful coins. Isn't there any control over this??

Bad luck Mac, unfortunately this happens, there are prevention measures in place but they do not always work. China is a hard place for eBay to have control in due to the government.
Lets just hope that the coin is genuine.

Clive.

If you can cancel the payment do so immediately. 1 negative feedback is worth the few hundred dollars you will otherwise lose. As far as eBay policy, it is and always has been caveat emptor - buyer beware!
