He says that he is unable to identify the coin and this time he may be right
as he calls it a rouble of Peter II, the Great!

The Silver Coin was brought from Estate Sale a years ago together with other
coins. I attached many detailed pictures. I do not have enough experience identify
coin. Please make your choice. The sale is final.


These dies were published as fake in RNS Journal 83 (winter 2006–2007).

It seems a common trick on eBay to play ignorance when selling fakes. Hope it does not work for the sake of novice collectors...

Reputable dealers stand behind what they sell and accept returns if the buyer is unhappy, especially if the buyer has not seen the coin in hand before buying.
