Don't know exactly what I am doing here.

I have a medallion-- says Nova Scotia Nouvelle scotia 1867 on one side and mayflower Fleur de mai on the other. I am unable to find any info on this item Any assistance would be appreciated.

1867 was the year Nova Scotia joined Canada. Maybe a medal to commerate confederation?

Welcome!!

Do you have a picture of both sides?
Post it here will be a good start.
I have lots of books on coins and metals.
I might be able to help.
Cheers!!

It's a gas station giveaway that came with a fill-up. Early 1970s, Esso if I remember correctly. There's also a prime ministers of Canada series. (there's some old posts on this somewhere on this forum)

Yes.
I believe it was a promotion put out by the ESSO gas company.

Is this the coin you have?
Here are some pictures.

I have this coin also is it a copy of an original coin ? Could you tell me what is it made of?

These medallions were made up and are not copied from another design. All of the pieces I've seen appear to be either brass or zinc.
