Hi guys, I've never found any semi-decent errors before, so I'm guessing this is nothing worthwhile. But just in case its an error, can someone ID it for me? Thanks!!

Looks like a brockage, nice find.

Really? what bugs me is a small dent on the obverse and the lower right obverse rim isn't in great condition. but that could be post mint damage.

I agree with vfox I would say that the other damage was caused at the mint. I looked through my error coin book briefly and didn't see it but its in there. Nice find although I'm not sure of its worth.

it was struck through a die cap... which would be a brockage.... good find!!

So, a capped die strike, as they say?
A bit similar to the nickel I posted once.

haha.. thanks Jos. Looks the same! Funny, no one ever told you their value. Ever figure it out?
I'll ask here:
Anyone know an appx. value for one of these? I bet its not much, just curious.

I sold it on the bay one day, and got something like $20 for it.
I don't know how good that sale was, or how often it happens on a cent comparing with the nickel...

that's a great find, I hope I can find something that unique.
