I have made random purchases.... moreso recently since I've found heritage. I found some nice coins for good prices and thought I'd make an investment, but I never figured a good way to cash it in after I won the lots :-x

If by random purchase you mean something that's not in your normal line of collecting, then yes. In fact most of my collecting time has been to acquire whatever strikes my fancy that I can afford at the moment.

Oh yes. I'm a sucker for a good deal on coins.

I'm with Art on this one whatever strikes my eye I have bought some that I couldn't afford though and then wish I hadn't bought it, but I get over it.

I bought 50 pieces from the foreign box once. Not sure why, but I really like a few of them!

Yep, I made a lot of random purchases until I learned to focus... which only lasted a few minutes
