I happen to like the new President coins LOL going against the trend I know, so I have posted the first 2 pairs that I have along with my first Sac. I would like to try and get a deep cameo version of that, I think it would look lovely. My only real problem with the Pres dollar is the mint mark on the rim, the designs are quite nice to look at, and I honestly cant understand why there have been so many complaints! Time & time again on the forums I have seen people demand, request, pray for new US coin designs and when you get them its Oh I dont like that LOL same for the Quarter with the state issues for the most part very nice looking coins in my humble opinion yahoo.gif

And like you De Orc I like them and think they look good. I also like the states quarters. Some are better than others but they all have there good and bad quality's
De Orc
What is the quality of the proof Pres coins like? so far I have not seen any pics of any and would love to see some before I decide to invest LOL I have to agree that some of the quartes shall we say leave a bit to be desired LOL but overall I wish that the Royal mint would take note and do something similar over here for the counties yahoo.gif

* sigh * I know I'm an old crank, but I find it hard to get excited about the Presidential dollars; try as I may, they still look to me like something the gas stations used to give out. I think the SACs are quite serviceable and interesting, though. But then again I tend to only like old things, so in 20 years I'll probably like the new dollars. laugh.gif
numismatic nut
I like the pres dollars so much I buy unc roles at face at my bank.
Capt-AWACS
I like the Sac reverse very much and think the statue of liberty is a great idea though it looks "cheap" on the Prez, still a nice enough design.
I still use them more in Ecuador than anywhere else since they are legal tender and shipped there but in the States I use them from time to time.

Ciao,

I like the new dollars and hope they get rid of the paper dollar, so that more people will have to use the coin.
moneydog
I'm with you Dave.
Fatcat
I like the coins and want the paper ones removed from circulation too.
