Hello coinsruss, nice coin examples you have there. I'm quite sure they are genuine but others may beg to differ. For realistic prices, you might want to check final prices on molotok.ru or ebay.com. If they are real, I'm somewhat expecting them to be around 200USD each (although I can be totally wrong)

Welcome to coinpeople by the way hi.gif

It is absolutely impossible to tell from the pictures provided. Pavel's rouble looks unusial somehow. Without the scans and the edges nobody can say anything specific.

Agreed. While it's difficult to say for sure, my first impression (before I read And986's post) was that the Pavel rouble looked wrong (especially the lettering in MONETA and the central I), but that the other piece was OK.

This is my example of 1799

The color is off as it was done by a scanner. Anyone else with more examples of 1799 rubles?

Yes, I have many images of different examples of this coin. However I don't think it's necessary to dig any others up. Yours is a nice example smile.gif and it makes the differences fairly clear. I'd say it still looks to me like the coinruss Pavel piece is fake, though larger images would help. Just my opinion.
