I was digging in my error box and I found a 1939 wheat that looks like it has riples(like the riples you see when you through a stone in a pond)Looked in coin digest didn't see anything that maches it.I scaned it into my pc,and made the pic better, and I hope I can post it.Any way I can up load it without useing an online album? If you have a link to a pic you think it might be,post it so I can look at it.

I've got a few Kennedy halves which have ripples. Here is a link to "Die flow".

Parts if the design are un-readable. The only things I can read on the reverse is half os an o in one,the first half of the n in one;the last 3 letters in e plburs unium and america in united stater of america.

Can someone tell me how to get a pic in a word docmuent to a post here without a online album.(I am away from my camra untill next thursday).
sbvenman
In word, click on the picture to select it.
Go to the edit drop down menu and click copy.
Open up Microsoft paint.
Edit -> paste.
File -> save as -> jpeg.

add it as an attachment.

That should work.
numismatic nut
The file is too big,how do I shrink it?
sbvenman
Put it into an image sharing site like picassa or photobucket and then copy the image location url and paste the url in a post here with [img] before the url and [img/] after the url.

You can post a picture in http://www.imageshack.us

You can register so that you can keep track of what you upload - registeration is free by the way and you can upload up to 1.5mb.

it looks like the coin was struck through grease or maybe fabric (???) to me...
numismatic nut
On the coin the surface is compleetly smoth,so maby grease, but I don't think it looks like cloth.
collectin_coins
Reverse die was filled with grease on this one.
numismatic nut

Here is a pic I killed in photo editor. All the detail is in yellow.Any lettering that is not in yellow is not there.Click to view attachment
numismatic nut
Well some stuff is there but not in yellow, see my earlyer pic for that.
coppercoins
It's struck through something, no telling exactly what. It would bring a modest premium, but not a whole lot.
numismatic nut
Thanks!
numismatic nut
Also the coin is like that on both sides. Is that normal?
coppercoins
There's nothing "normal" about this. It's very possible to be on both sides, especially if the material is viscous like grease.
