As a matter of curiosity are you disheartened because you couldn't find a great specimen or because the prices were very high or ?

A combination of those two plus it was the show's last day and many of the dealers were packed or packing up. The best specimen I found was $400, which I thought to be a little excessive

i only have one 39 sadly.. in this huge book of large cents i bought... and its low end... do you need a 39 specifically? or just an example for a type set.

Well the 1839 booby head is my favorite version of the braided hair pieces, and I had wanted that one specifically for the type set... I suppose being picky can be a good and a bad thing
