I realy like the princess of Wales. - half penny 1795. Its reverse the portcullis can be seen on modern British pennies.
The erlieast portcullis (gate) design I can remember seeing is on the obverse of an Elizabeth I halfpenny, but it was used on earlier hammered coins a mintmark.

And still I would like to pay attention to last German token in honour of an anniversary of Victoria. They with the kaiser consisted in related attitudes

The last one has the look of a medal as opposed to a token, the others were all used in a monetery fashion hi.gif They are very nice though, I have a small collection of both tokens and Royal Medals and would love to find a couple of those you have shown.

Yes, at that time many minted a private coin. And it was used together with the state coin.
