Henry III Long-cross penny, Class Vg, Robert on Canterbury.
Hasn't been polished but is a hoard coin and so is in EF condition.

I'm seeing a lot of Plantagenet coins that have been 'polished'. It always makes me wary of forgeries! But it's a beauty for all that!

To be honest I don't think that I have ever seen a polished hammered coin, but I have seen many cleaned hammered coins. Some of them were not professionally cleaned but this one appears untouched for about 700 years! Amazing that such a piece of history can be owned for such a small price!

Have to agree it is a superb example
