In Kozak, well Cossack to you western types, culture in Ukraine there is the traditional horse riding challenge, "Kiss a Girl" where literally you chase down a girl, preferably a stunningly attractive one(lots and lots of them there), and plant a kiss on her cheek. I believe the prize was that you could court her.
