Hey, Noob here. I just bought this Silver Eagle cause I hadn't seen one like it before. It looks proof all over on the obverse and reverse. It doesn't look like it has been polished either. Is this a goof up at the mint like maybe it didn't get burnished or is it common? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks..

Is there a mintmark on the reverse? To me, it looks like it's been polished.

I agree, looks very polished. In another few months that things will be yellow most likely, especially if they used a compound and not a polishing cloth.

Can't see the date. Also, you didn't say how much you paid for that coin. The main thing is if you didn't pay a lot, are happy with that coin, are planning on keeping it, it is irrilivant what anyone says about it, good or bad. It is your coin and it looks nice. If cleaned, so what. Again, it is your coin. Myself, I have purchsed coins that appear to have been cleaned and if done decently, such as that one, it is a keeper if nothing else. Always note how may will blurt out a monitary statement when that is not what you wanted to know. It is not a proof, may have been polished, but still looks OK for a collection. Make sure you put in in an air tight or close to air tight holder. It wll not tarnish, tone, etc it no air/moisture can get to it.
