I had been looking around for Jettons and spotted some on a website in Brisbane - I was going up for my nephew's wedding.
Unfortunately someone from NZ beat me by a day to get the cream of the offerings but I was happy with what I was able to get
This is a 1666 silver jetton feturing the them Mayor of Paris

1782 Louis XVI Brittany - jetton has 1822 one side and 1831 the other. I'll need to buy some reference books to find out what it actually is

those are outstanding jettons...certainly some jettons are as nice or nicers than actual coins in their design.

Have to say they are wonderful I have a couple or three French Jetons but absolutly nothing like this quality

French silver jetons are terrific, esp. those octagonal 19th-century ones... or the 17th century ones if you can get them! I have a few of the former on Omnicoin.

Nah, it's from Loiret (France Centre), not Lorraine.
As I know, exist catalogues for these "Jetons de notaires" from Gadoury. You can browse the french ebay.

These bronze counters most likely not old, but too beautiful
