Hi, I have never seen this type of crown over the monogram and everything seems too flat, especially so the shield with the text, which normally is bold (and therefore more or less worn). Seller did not reply on my request to show the edge. But the coin is already at nearly $300 and still more than 2 hrs to go. I think the coin is an obvious copy - what do you think? Sigi

These coins are usually a bit rounder near the edge of the coin, usually have imperfections in the flan etc. This coin makes me think you think right about this.



I would avoid this.

this guy has enticing fakes up for sale regularly, if i recall.

Take a look at his current auction for a Dassier portrait Rouble of Elizabeth, it looks just like her!

Yup!

That one is a 100% fake - just "looked alike" original 10 kop. piece.

I would disagree with Basilio - this fake doesn't look like a genuine piece. Sigi, forget about it! smile.gif
