All you have to do is identify the 20 coins from these pictures (in TWO posts). Prize for this contest will be an 1893 Columbian Exposition Half Dollar, courtesy of Ms T. Bunny (and the Brain Scramble contest that just ended).

Each picture is of a coin (not a token or medal) made at a US mint. For each picture, identify the coin and include a reasonably accurate date or date range for positive ID (nothing tricky going on with that).

First one to correctly identify all 20 coins wins. Let’s set a limit of 5 entries maximum per contestant. Contest closes at midnight, July 11, 2005. If nobody correctly identifies all 20 by that time, the first one to have correctly identified the most coins wins.

Remember, there are 20 pictures - A through T, in two posts.

Should be a piece-of-cake.

Here are the second TEN, K-T

Congrats to The_Cave_Troll for correctly identifying 17 out of the 20 coins from those *very* difficult pics. Very impressive.

Does someone mind resurrecting this contest? I don't have enough variety to do it myself. It's a great idea!

I apologize if it does exist somewhere.
