Full Version: Coin ID Contest

CoinPeople.com > CoinPeople.com Spotlight > Contests and Giveaways > Expired or Ended Contests/Giveaways

All you have to do is identify the 20 coins from these pictures (in TWO posts). Prize for this contest will be an 1893 Columbian Exposition Half Dollar, courtesy of Ms T. Bunny (and the Brain Scramble contest that just ended).

Each picture is of a coin (not a token or medal) made at a US mint. For each picture, identify the coin and include a reasonably accurate date or date range for positive ID (nothing tricky going on with that).

First one to correctly identify all 20 coins wins. Let’s set a limit of 5 entries maximum per contestant. Contest closes at midnight, July 11, 2005. If nobody correctly identifies all 20 by that time, the first one to have correctly identified the most coins wins.

Remember, there are 20 pictures - A through T, in two posts.

Should be a piece-of-cake.

Here are the first TEN, A-J

There are a lot of resource sites out there. Even with familiarity, you would need to use them, i think!

BTW: Loved the contest!
