Hi all.

Please forgive my complete ignorance.

I work in a shop in Scotland and have been noticing different notes that come and go. I have decided to start buying (for face value) some of the less common ones. I have a few pound notes, mainly Royal Bank of Scotland ones still in circulation, but the one that caught my eye the most is a Bank of Scotland £10 note from 1992 signed by Governor Pattullo and Treasurer Burt. It has a serial number startinf FF. Because this has been circulated I would have to assume it is not UNC but I recently saw one very similar on ebay saying UNC.

I was wondering if someone could kindly tell me how you know if something is UNC and the collector's value.

Many thanks for reading this, any nudge in the right direction would be much aqppreciated.

Many thanks for your reply dustin, that's a great help. Is there anyway I can find out the value without buying a note yearbook??

Thanks

Well my book says £22 for Unc (Scottish banknotes, a concise history & price cat 2007 ed) but dont give any prices for lesser conditions so if you can get it for face then you are in profit LOL

Many tanks De Orc, if I can't sell it for face value then it'll be getting swapped with another one from my work's till! I like it though so I might just hold on to it. I like the older scottish and English notes so I'm gonna see what I can come by.
Thanks again for your help.
