Doesn't look fake to me, as to the variety, I can't say. I haven't unpacked the box with my Haxby catalog yet. When I do, I'll come back to this thread for you.

I meant by 'the real deal' the variety. In my Krause there is a big difference in value. That's what I was referring to.

The wide and narrow 9 varieties of the 1859 cent is one of the easier ones to recognize once you get used to it - the "wide 9"s are "fat" as they are really 9/8.
