Australia had a 5 shilling coin or Crown for 2 years only - it was unpopular because it was so large and so heavy

George VI appeared on the Obverse of the both years
The coin depicted is a 1938 Crown which is the scarcer of the 2

It is difficult to get these coins without any teeth marks in the fields - the sheer weight of the coin dropping into the hoppers invariably marked the coins

1937

The coin depicted is a 1937 Crown

Again, difficult to get these coins without any teeth marks in the fields - the sheer weight of the coin dropping into the hoppers invariably marked the coins

Art

There is also a variety in the 1937. It's called the I dot variety.
It's a diechip between the I in Australia and the crown.
