If the coin were struck this much off center why hasn't some of the design element run off the opposite edge?

I rekon this would be classed more as a broadstrike as opposed to an off centre error.
Neat coin.

nice broadstrike... the planchet stretched when it was struck thus all of the design is still on the coin.... the collar was not there to keep the metal from stretching..

Thanks guys. I wasn't sure how the planchet escaped the collar but I understand now.
