DPrice got me wondering about my 1899 o 's. Mechanical or die doubling?



I know its hard to see but its on the top.

I posted over at vamworld. Sounds like its a double die. Its a 18-a But evidently they did not mention a marker on these a double die.

A ongoing discussion over at vamworld. the 18-a may be a 20 that was in too poor of shape to show the double die on the reverse. And the 18-a may end up being removed as a vam.
