Is this a D.D.R? The doubling is strongest in A & M but can be seen in several other letters,
the picture simply doesn't show all the doubling.

Check out coppercoins.com. They would have every sort of minor variety of the 1983 DDR photographed and valued.

This coin is a '82 (I got the date wrong) & there is no record of a '82 DDR on copper coins..
I read here -http://www.coinworld.com/NewCollector/Errors/Striking.asp
& now believe this is mechanical strike doubling error due to the shelf like appearance of the doubling on the A&M.. Do you agree?
