hey gang! I saw this poor guy today.... it is yes... a 1928 plain... there is enough detail on the back that I can see that it is not an S or that there was even an S... but I thought Id share.... there are some people out there putting sets of these poor and AG coins together...

Send it to PCGS and get it graded PO1/FR2

Sit back and watch the value increase.

Aww. I'll give it a home!

Amazing -- I've never seen a Peace Dollar so worn - that's great!
LostDutchman
it looks like it was someones good luck piece or stress reliever. I have seen only a few worse.... I saw one once that you could only see a feint profile of the face and that was it....

I don't think I have a peace that bad, but I do have a Morgan that bad:

Other than that, I think the only poor peace I have is a 1923 that was shot! I'll have to take a picture of that one some day.

Oh man, Matt. I am serious about giving that a home if you're selling it. I don't have my 1928 yet and that'd be a great filler until I get one of better grade.

Might get into a FR2 holder.

I suppose that the coin has circulate on beach too...water and sand.

The gambling casinos in Nevada used silver dollars as "chips" in the early 1960's.

This dollar may have performed service in Reno or Las Vegas.

These are difficult to certify without the mm in this condition.

Hard to tell if it wore off or is a "p".
There are two types of "s" mm rev, basically one high and one very low.
Be careful when buying these, they are also known to be altered.
