I recently acquired a small coin collection from my mother and stepfather. For the most part, these coins are in the range of “very worn” to "extremely worn". Looks like a trip to the coin shop (to dump them) may be in order. There are, however, a couple of interesting items. The first of which is the following bronze medal. I have no idea what this medal represents or the purpose of its creation. Any ideas? Thanks

I venture a guess that it was issued for the 150th anniversary in 1971.
