hey gang I picked this up in a lot of "stuff" and was wondering if anyone could help me identify it... and maybe give me an idea of value? Its a neat one and im pretty sure it has something to do with the unveiling of the statue of liberty... thanks again!

Nice medal indeed! Well, most of what I could tell you about Bartholdi is stuff you will already know. smile.gif The date on the "portrait side" refers to when the Liberty was finished; the date on the other side is when the statue was dedicated.

Frédéric Bartholdi died in 1904; in 2004 the French mint issued a commem showing
* his portrait and his most famous work in Europe, the Lion of Belfort:

Cannot read the initials on your medal very well. I guess it says "R.L." on the left and "A.D-F" on the right ...
