recently found a 1980 cent nothing wrong wth t but the metel is striped and one know anything about this??? dont have a scanner right now sry

my guess without seeing it.... improperly mixed planchet.... its pretty common

It's really easy to see on a lot of the old british large cents. It almost looks like a copper toned zebra....kinda.
