It is fascinating when you research the backgrounds of personalities portrayed on banknotes and their incredible lives. Neat write up bthumbsup.gif

I know! That's what I enjoy about these. I was debating on doing a write up on a poet, as there are a great many poets and other litterary folk on banknotes and I wanted to get a good one. I chose this one based soley on the looks of the note and the portrait.

And all this time I was thinking that he was just being a little saucy and winking in his portrait! wink.gif

I shall endeavour to write up the next missive on a poetess, her ideals influencing modern times, and the banknote she has appeared on. grin.gif

I am always fascinated with the country Angola. I don't really know why. Maybe I do not really know much about the country. It just give me the mysterical feeling. I love the earlier Angola banknotes. smile.gif
