As far as I know PayPal works in Russia only to send money and there is no option to receive. So most likely "lucky" buyer will be paying to some place else outside of Russia.

Let's assume for a second this coin is authentic. The seller is located in Russian city of Perm, and it is unlawful to send any authentic old coins from Russia. So if coin is authentic the seller is a contrabandist and risks doing several years in jail. Another story if this coin leaves Russia as collectible copy. Then it is perfectly lawful transaction. So, who want the coin?

He is a complete cheater, has couple of accounts and he sells non existing coins, I tried to report him to ebay, but... not going well.

A few are thinking that they are getting a real bargain!

The coin sold for $830 plus shipping which, IF it is real and IF the buyer receives it, has got to be the bargain of the century.

However, my spider-sense is tingling, and my guess is that it will be an expensive and unhappy lesson for the "lucky winner".

I can only wonder why the seller would be willing to risk years of imprisonment to sell such a treasure for a mere $830 when MiM just sold a similar coin (legally) for 650,000 RUR hammer price (about $25,000) in their auction #43, lot #285.

On the other hand, maybe it isn't such a mystery after all.

Maybe Bill Gates is the highest bidder, and in his case 830$ simply doesn't matter...
