I'm a newbie collector in Canada, but I also have my share of Polish coins, being originally from Poland. I've been "collecting" for pretty much my whole life, but I never really went hunting, or being overly concerned how I store my coins. If I found something somehow somewhere, I'd stick it in my piggy bank (Which I still use
