Hi Rahim, welcome to coinpeople.
Sorry to hear your bad story. Unfortunately due to the forum policy here, it's recommanded that you do not blast the sellers' names unless you can specifically prove that the sellers DID indeed do them by themselves. There are chances that sellers could just have bought problemtic banknotes from other dealers and then resell them. However an exception is when there counterfeit notes where you think everyone should watch out. The simple reason is some major sellers CAN possibly sue you or even this forum and none of us want to be involved in this.

I edited out the link to the webpage containing all the e-bay sellers' names.
However...a lot of the pictures were disturbing. Somebody was cleaning/pressing those notes very professionally, turning VF rags into XF+ treasures. Most of the notes are rare in high grades, and the doctoring increased their values exponentially.
While I believe the website is a very good resource for keeping track of doctored notes, gx is right. We can't accuse the sellers without proof.
All coinpeople: Be VERY careful when you buy items from sellers with private feedback.

I tend not to, I always think that when they are listed as "private" that they have definately got something to hide 99% of the time

In this case, all of the doctored notes were bought cheaply by buyers with private feedback...then reappear to be sold by sellers- also with private feedback. Very suspicious. The more "buyer" accounts a seller has, the more he can shore up his "seller" account with positive feedback. But having private feedback makes it impossible to prove the two are connected.
All of this is hypothetical, of course. I'm not accusing anybody of doing anything.

I have bidders blocked on eBay when I sell stuff, because there are known "cleaners" I know of one in Scotland that is still scrubbing up notes and pawning them off on unsuspecting persons.
One thing to look for when looking at rare notes is excessive "brightness", like it was bleached, the example of the Australian £10 is a prime example of this.

[attachmentid=2224]its bad the the url had been removed. member who read this thread will not find the website.
i know all those scums and thats why i know which ids there are used for buying cheap low grade notes from ebay.
those scums had shifted their attention off ebay and start buying notes from money fair or dealers of ebay. it will be more difficult to track theur activities now. members who want the url for the doctored website pls emailme at rahim409@yahoo.com.my

The problem that linking the URL here is that it unduly creates legality issues if the person or persons auctioning off the questioned material take exception. Essentially yourself and the forum administration could be determined liable.
Unfortunately with issues like these, you have to tread cautiously, or you could unwittingly find yourself having to pay an attorney untoward sums of cash to defend yourself.
