The Royal Canadian Mint unveiled the designs for a set of coins last month that will commemorate the Vancouver/Whistler 2010 Olympics. There will be 17 coins released in all, including two "Lucky Loonie" designs. The first of those coins will be released in Lethbridge, Alta., on Wednesday as competitors at the 2007 Scotties Tournament of Hearts battle for the Canadian women's curling championship.

Petro-Canada Distributes Vancouver 2010 Olympic Curling Coin Sport Cards
CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 22, 2007 -- Starting on February 23, 2007, participating Petro-Canada retail locations will sell exclusive Vancouver 2010 coin sport cards in support of Canadian athletes and coaches. The program is part of a partnership with the Royal Canadian Mint and RBC to circulate a 25-cent coin that profiles an Olympic or Paralympic winter sport leading up to Vancouver 2010. The first 25-cent circulation coin and collector card depicts the popular sport of curling.
Each card will feature a special colour version of the circulation coin embedded in laminated cards and sold for $7.95. A portion of the proceeds will be distributed to the Fuelling the Dream Fund, a corporate initiative aimed at helping develop Olympic and Paralympic athletes and coaches.

Those women curlers are more fun to watch than the NBA or NHL.

So, last year during the Winter Olympics (the best programming TV has on at any given point during any 4 year period), guys here at school (including me) either before going to bed would either catch the beginning of US Women's curling at 4am and stay up all night long watching them, OR we would willingly get up early to watch them.
They aren't amazingly hot or gorgeous but they are cute and very easy on the eyes compared to many of the other athletes out there.
