Hi I don't know if you remember this gold 2006 reverse 25 kurus brockage I had bought before?
Anyway I managed to find its obverse mate!!! Now I have got a reverse and obverse gold 25 kurus, and I'm V. Happy. biggrin.gif

I have seen them being sold both, but I didn't believe they were the real deal.

They just don't seem real gold on the pictures. I don't know why, but that's what I felt the first time I saw them.

Did you get them certified?

Hi Jos,

I did not get them certified because I live in the United Kingdom. I am 100% sure they are real gold as the size and weight is correct. Here is a link to one that was on ebay for sale which is certified. Also note the year is also 2006, but this type of error is not unique. As you know there would have been a few coins struck by the cupped die coin.

I'm just that familiar with Turkish coinage. It's a great couple of coins. Great addition to any decent collection.

If the weight is right, I guess they must be ok.
