2004 Commemorative Issue. Commemorating 200 years of the Invention Industry Progress, and honoring the Cornish inventor Richard Trevithick, 1804-2004. Bimetalic. Depicting Trevithick's 1804 engine, 25 years before George Stephenson's Rocket.

(Both coins in my collection of decimals, circulation finds).

Me too, strange thing is I have never found one in my change or at least I never knew it if I have encountered one. I have found oodles of the others tho..

I really like the design of these. I'm going to have to start collecting them at some point.

They are extreemly nice coins, I do collect them in Proof condition bthumbsup.gif I am vey suprised that you have never come across a £2 coin in your change unles of course you are talking just about these two designs!

Oddly enough the commemorative is more common that the standard design for 2004
