hey guys and gals... I wanted to take some pics while i was on the road so i bought a new camera.... the pics aren't the greatest while i try to learn how to use it. but I'll try to take some pics of the neat errors i picked up at fun.
First up we have a flip over double strike. This coin has an obverse and reverse on each side. It's kinda hard to see from the pics. A very rare error on large cents. The coin is in an ANACS G4 holder.

next up is a very cool double error. This coin was double struck in the collar. the coin rotated and you can see a partial second date just in front of the bust on the obverse. on the reverse is a nice partial brockage. This coin is in an ANACS G4 holder.

lastly here is a nice 1814 cent that is in an ANACS F12 holder.
it has an obverse double strike the reverse looks normal but a little squishy from the other planchet being in the way.

I will get better pictures once I get back to work....
as for a ballpark... there isn't really a price guide for these coins.... I have seen them anywhere from $200-$10,000 the coins shown were purchased for $1,500 or less apiece.

It's amazing how well worn these coins are for being double struck and such. Was it just that common people didn't care? Or did people just not care in general?
