I'm a newby and trying to find out the value of a "Sir Winston Churchill" Memorial Crown? 1965

Unfortunately millions of them were made, and they continue to curse collectors with their presence since then. I have 7-8 of them lingering about.

For some unknown reason it is a fact that most people that collect coins, hate the Churchill crown.

But I'm a little weird, I really like it...

They are only worth $3 to $5 dollars.

I got a bunch. . . . . . I sent one out to my Secret coinpeep pal with something else of course. . . .

If I EVER see one that appears to be well struck, I'll buy it. Most of 'em are poorly struck IMHO.

I can buy about 70 of them right now for 0.75 each!? Maybe I should lol.

Wow that cheap? Amazingly I've never seen one either at a coin shop (even the junk bin) or at a show.

The Churchills, IMO, have a place right alongside the Ike dollar. When I manage, by some misfortune, to end up with an example of either I find a way to unload it. ;-)

Seriously, if it's a coin you like, then it's worth more to you than its face value.

Churchills are generally worth $1-2 retail IMO. Readily available for $1 from virtually every dealer in my area (except for the flea market types, who usually charge closer to the $3-5 mentioned above)

The face value, btw is £0.25
